Recently, at the premiere of his new movie 'Henry's Crime,' actor Keanu Reeves told UsMagazine.com that the "craziest thing a fan has done to him" was to accuse him of fathering her children.

He said of the experience, "I had to go to court. It was horrible. I didn't do it. I'm not the dad." In 2009, a crazed Canadian fan filed a paternity suit in which she accused the 46-year-old actor of fathering at least one of her four adult children.

Sources say the woman submitted an affidavit to the court in which she accused the Canadian actor of disguising himself as her ex-husband and using hypnosis in order to impregnate her.

The woman apparently told a court in Ontario that Reeves owed her retroactive support payments, including $150,000 per month in child support since June 1998 and $3 million per month in spousal support since November of 2006.

At time, the actor's representative said that the woman's allegations were "completely false and absurd" and the actor maintained that he had never met her. Reeves' was advised him to take a paternity test, which ended up proving that the fan was lying. She did, however, contest the results with the court, though the judge ended up dismissing the case last year, clearing the actor's name.

In Missouri, a paternity action can establish the legal parent-child relationship between an alleged parent and a child born outside of marriage. Paternity suits are an important tool in enforcing both rights and responsibilities connected to the parent-child relationship. It is important to remember, though, that a father always has the right to dispute an allegation of paternity.
